Saving Jack Frost

  • Duration 1 hour
  • Group size Open
  • AgesAges 6-12

Class Description

It all begins once upon a time in the small far away town of Fahringtown. The town is known for their spirited but unique holiday traditions, including playing accordions, eating waffles, hanging fresh fish on the fireplace, and a giant annual snowball fight.

However, this year, it seems like the holidays may be delayed indefinitely as the usual snowfall has yet to arrive!

More worryingly, Jack Frost, the spirit of winter, has gone missing. Without his arrival, no one in Fahringtown is sure if Winter will ever really come. Our journey begins as the Mayor of Fahringtown, Mr. Grumblekins, holds a meeting about delaying holiday break and cancelling the snowball fight. Our three adventures, a witch, an elf, and a human-sized mouse depart on one of three paths to save the Holidays!

In this interactive RPG-style story-time adventure, audience participation will determine key outcomes of the story. Based on a rough vote of the children, the adventurers will go to visit either Greg the Snowman on the ice plains, Rudolfo the Rude Reindeer in the deep forest, or the chilly Ice Queen in her palace of snow. There they will participate in a unique activity, create a craft, and learn information useful to their journey.

All of this will ultimately lead them to the same conclusion, that Mayor Grumblekins has kidnapped Jack Frost and they must do everything in their power to free him.

....Do you have what it takes to join this adventure?
